Nicolai Czumaj-Bront was born
in Chicago in 1978, studied
Psychology and Philosophy
at Kent State University, Ohio
(1996-1999) and graduated in
Industrial Design at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1999-2002 BA in Industrial Design.)

In 2002, he began working for
the design and engineering
consultant group, DiMonte
Group in Aurora, IL. During that time he was lead product developer at Beoform. In 2005
he joined Haworth, Inc. and is currently part of the Industrial Design Studio in Holland MI.

Nicolai Czumaj-Bront believes
that design should be about
passion and love for life, to find
new ways to create beauty,
to tell stories, to care, to inspire,
to challenge ideas, and to solve
problems. Design should not be
dictated by trends nor should it
remain in a particular style or field, “Design is everything.”
